West Rock Residence Building

St. Mary's School

Raleigh, NC

Originally constructed in 1835, this building is a 2-story residence facility centrally located near the entrance to St. Mary’s School.  Though renovated numerous times throughout the years, the exterior stone façade has been maintained in order to preserve the historic significance of the building.  The parameters of this project were to convert the building from a dormitory facility to a completely refurbished 2-unit apartment complex.  Because of the existing equipment age and facility change-of-use, a complete plumbing, HVAC and electrical system replacement was required.
