New Boiler Plant

This project involved the design of a new 300 horsepower steam plant to support the main resort facility. The staff at Stanford White provided mechanical, electrical and structural design. A new standalone boiler building was designed to complement the adjacent resort architecture, as well as to blend with the residential guidelines as set forth by the neighboring village of Pinehurst. This new on-site plant replaced the existing village steam plant located nearly one mile away. The design was such that changeover to the new facility was achieved in less than one day.
