Governor's Mansion Renovation

NC Department of Administration

Raleigh, NC

The Governor’s Mansion is a historic centerpiece in downtown Raleigh. Originally constructed in 1891, this building is a 30,000 square foot, 4-level residence facility.  Renovations are planned to rehabilitate severely aged mechanical and electrical systems.  Several construction phases are needed in order to limit facility downtime and disruption.  Renovations designed include fire alarm replacement, ductwork refurbishment (cleaning and resurfacing), replacement of 18 air-handling units, new plumbing, chiller replacement, outside-air ventilation improvements, heat exchanger replacement, new telecommunications wiring, security system improvements, electrical service replacement and remediation of code violations.
