New Campus - 3 Buildings

Craven Community College

Havelock, NC

The creation of a new satellite community college campus began with the design of three new education facilities.  The Institute of Aeronautical Technology Complex includes shops (airframe, welding, sheet metal and power plant), labs (avionics, systems and materials), a computer classroom, media center, an administrative suite and a remote engine testing facility.  The Classroom and Laboratory Building includes science labs, computer labs, a law enforcement training room, classrooms, snack bar and an administrative suite.  The Library is a county-run public facility complete with stack area, children’s area and ancillary support spaces.  In addition to mechanical and electrical engineering of building systems, site infrastructure was designed to support and link campus facilities.  This inter-campus infrastructure included a chiller plant, fiber optic cabling, LP gas, pedestrian and parking lighting, primary electrical and fire water storage.
