Research

Research facilities, both private and educational, have sophisticated engineering needs.  Regardless of overall function, each laboratory client has unique requirements to fulfill their individual research goals.  In addition to design for mission critical functions, research facilities typically also include engineered systems that are expandable, flexible and redundant.  Stanford White has experience in the analysis and design of various types of laboratories such as medical research, materials science, electronics, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, greenhouses, vivariums and clean rooms.  Our system design experience includes hood exhaust, containment, sterilizers, glassware washers, steam, compressed air, nitrogen, vacuum, gas, distilled water and de-ionized water.
