Senior Electrical Engineer
Stanford White is currently seeking employment of a Senior Electrical Engineer. Requirements include: a Professional Engineering (PE) license, experience working in an engineering consulting firm, overall project supervision experience, and design experience in the electrical construction engineering field. Our project designs are typically institutional (hospitals, education facilities, central plants, etc.); however, we are occasionally involved with more architecturally-based projects (libraries, office buildings, public safety facilities, etc.).
To ensure the highest quality service to our clients, Stanford White assigns a “principal-in-charge” to oversee all phases of a project. To complement this role, we utilize a “team leader” who is equally answerable to our client. The team leader assists with management of staff assignments, scheduling, production methods, and other details to ensure that the project is produced within the required timeframe and budget.
The Senior Electrical Engineer position includes electrical engineering design on both project teams led by this individual, as well as on project teams led by others. When serving as the team leader, this individual will be required to coordinate the production of all engineering elements within the office on a project. Therefore, exposure to structural, fire protection and mechanical design experience is a plus and supervisory experience and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
Stanford White's reputation is built on providing the highest quality engineering services to our clients; therefore, it is important that our engineers reflect this by their ability to exercise common sense, design practical systems, and provide good service.
The Senior Electrical Engineer is required to possess:
- a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- 10+ years of electrical (power, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, and security systems) system design experience
- experience working with the NC State Construction office.
- experience in an architectural/engineering/construction environment.
- experience in institutional project design.
- an enthusiastic attitude toward project design and the ability to lead a team.
Applicants whose qualifications and career goals are in accord with the description above may email a resume to Ashley Borter at ahborter@stanfordwhite.com.
